AVID is a class that helps students learn how to study, take notes, and speak academically.  The class has a strong focus on college and careers as well.  AVID students keep all their school work organized in a binder and get help with school from tutors who are in college.  There is a lot of working and studying in groups, getting to know each other, and a fun, family-like atmosphere.  There are no homework or tests in AVID, but plenty of activities to get students’ minds moving.  Every year we take a field trip.  In 2023 we went to SJSU. Other years we have visited Stanford and UC Berkeley.  If you're looking for help in your schoolwork, like being part of a friendly class where everybody knows each other and want to learn how to get better grades, this class may be for you!
